DEAKIN LIT UP FOR DIWALI

Geelong Advertiser - - NEWS -

DEAKIN University lit up in celebration of the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali, last night.

It was the university’s 10th time marking the annual event which signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair.

The free community festival included cultural performances, Indian market stalls, traditional food, henna tattoos, Bollywood dance lessons, face-painting and free children’s activities, followed by a fireworks display on the waterfront.
