George Clarke’s Shed Of The Year SBS, 7.30pm
Who knew sheds could be so interesting? Architect George Clarke is uncovering a strangely fascinating world as he presides over this year’s Shed of the Year competition. As he travels all over the UK to visit the sheds entered in the competition, it becomes clear that the designs are a mix of ingenious and eccentric, with a mindboggling range of elective uses. The Summerhouse and Cabin group throws up a replica 18th-century US frontier cabin containing a mummified yeti, a Gothic grotto decorated with 50,000 seashells, and a scaleddown Elizabethan lodge. It really is you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it kind of stuff.
