Panthers stalking an upset

BELL Post Hill is closing in on its third victory of the season, in what would be an upset against Newtown & Chilwell.

The Panthers require a further 61 runs to win at Myers Reserve following a strong first day.

Lachlan Horan (3-12) and Luke Zanchetta (2-33) did the bulk of the damage, with the Two Blues’ top five batsmen contributing only five runs.

Newtown made some inroads before stumps, taking three scalps, but needs plenty of luck to restrict the Hill and avoid defeat.
