HUNDREDS of people lapped up the opportunity to say ahoy to their ‘hearties’ during the pirate-themed Lara Pool Family Fun Day yesterday and Xavier Colbert (left) was right in the spirit. Chances are It won’t be the only busy day this week with Geelong in the midst of a low-intensity heatwave. While our city will fare better than some other parts of the state, today’s predicted top of 33C is expected to mark a week-long run of warmth, perfect for the pool.
