CATCH ATTEMPT COMES UNSTUCK

-

TALK about commitment. This young spectator was lucky not to suffer a serious injury after a desperate attempt to catch a Chris Lynn six last night. When Lynn blasted a six towards the city end, the fan jumped up and scrambled across the black sightscreen cloth that covers the seats behind the bowler’s arm. He looked well placed to take one of the all-time classic catches, but just as the ball came within touching distance, he lost his footing. As he went to ground, he threw out an arm and the ball landed within inches of clocking him in the head. But full credit for the attempt.
