Victory fan in abuse claim

A-LEAGUE powerhouse Melbourne Victory faces questions over fan culture after a second abusive incident in as many weeks.

A man was stripped of his club membership after making a racist attack on social media towards Western Sydney player Tarek Elrich last week.

On Saturday, when Victory hosted Newcastle Jets at AAMI Park, a freelance photographer was allegedly subjected to homophobic slurs from the crowd. A spokesman said Victory “would require more information before we make comment”.
