If your dog is on a lead and sees a snake ca­su­ally di­vert its at­ten­tion from it by point­ing some­where else

If your dog is off its lead and sees a snake: stay calm, re­call your dog and di­rect its at­ten­tion away from the snake

If your dog is bit­ten keep it calm and carry it. Get it to a vet ASAP

Dogs may vomit, shake, twitch and show sud­den weak­ness fol­low­ing a snake bite. They can also col­lapse, have blood in their urine and be tem­po­rar­ily paral­ysed.
