NEWTOWN

-

AN ornate california bungalow in a prime location has sold prior to auction. Whitford, Newtown agent Tony Young said a local buyer put forward an offer on 110 Noble St that was enough to make the vendors happy to accept, rather than chance the auction. The price guide during the campaign was $800,000 to $880,000. “The buyers are local people that absolutely loved the home, they plan to renovate and extend,” he said. “They saw the style of the property and felt they could work with it and do something with it.” He said the buyers weren’t actively looking, but when the right thing came along they were onto it. The 1930s brick three-bedroom house has leadlight windows, timber floorboards and an updated bathroom.
