Lara cruises to victory

A PREDICTABLY physical encounter between Lara and Maribyrnong Swifts ended with United cruising to a comfortable 7-0 win at home.

The contest started tight but was broken open by Izzy Wilkinson on 32 minutes.

Jasmine Kenyon started her hat-trick off in the 35th minute before hitting late twice in the 80th and 90th minutes. Rachael Zahra, Jess Kenyon and Jasmine Naraghi all bagged second-half goals as Lara claimed its first win of the season. It was also the perfect send-off for assistant coach Ivan Kovacev, with work commitments forcing him away from the action.
