It allowed them to dominate the speed of the game in the second half, getting the ball into space and feeding dangerous forwards Jeremy Cameron, Jeremy Finlayson and Harry Himmelberg superbly.

“They flicked it around really well, they were clean in the contest, get it out and get it away. They score really heavily off turnovers and I thought we turned it over in bad spots at times and they made us pay,” Blicavs (left) said.

“They have got some good draftees through and trades they did last off-season. It’s always fun playing them at the ‘G, it’s always a close game. They will be a big challenge and one we have to be up for,” he said.

“They have a few live wires as well. We are going to need to be on, kill the ball in the air and get it out of the area. They are good on the ground so it will be tough.”
