Credlin launches campaign

-

FORMER Sacred Heart student Peta Credlin has officially launched Sarah Henderson’s 2019 campaign for Corangamite — with a warning to Australians not to elect its most left-wing government ever.

“I can’t believe it’s my 30year reunion they tell me this year, it feels like I left Geelong just yesterday,” she said.

“Sarah’s up, not against the Labor Party, but she’s up against the CFMEU — the most militant hard left union in the country.

“That union will throw everything at that seat so she’s got one hell of a fight.”

Ms Credlin, who served as Tony Abbott’s chief of staff when he was prime minister and is now a political commentator for News Corp and Sky News, admitted the redistribution in Victoria had hit the Liberal Party hard.

“Sarah’s margin is now 0.03, so this margin is just 33 votes,” she said. “That’s just a few households. Every election matters but this could lead to the most left wing government elected in our history. Look beyond Shorten, his boss is Sally McManus (ACTU secretary). He’s not a Prime Minister who will be able to speak his own mind.

“And Chris Bowen who will be your Treasurer if people are stupid enough to vote Labor, he holds the record for the most boats on his watch of any Immigration Minister in Australia’s history so God help our economy.”
