B.I.G FESTIVAL GOING TO BE HUGE
BI BIG things are comin ing to Little Creat tures in October, with the city’s biggest brewery hosti ing a music festival. The much-loved br brewery will transform into a live music venue for the Born in Geelong festival with headliners headlli Ball Park MuMus Music, Allday, Alex La Lahey, British India and an Alice Ivy. The October 26 festival f will include two stages for a 10hour program exp pected to attract m more than 4000 punn punters. T The B.I.G festival will als also showcase some of Geelong’s Gee best food, drin drink, lifestyle and enter tertainment, includin ing a Hot Chicken Project pop-up serving the superpopular p Nashvillestyle s fried chicken. Little Creatures Brewing Br hospitality operations ope manager Scott Campbell said the festival was all about celebrating the birthplace of its colossally popular Furphy beer.
“We want to pay tribute to the Furphy brand, which was born in Geelong, while jointly celebrating the best of our local community and culture,” Mr Campbell said.
“Geelong has really embraced both the brewery and the Furphy brand wholeheartedly, this is our chance to thank the region.
“We are thrilled to have many local businesses involved in the festival, from the Hot Chicken Project to the Resident Barber who will be serving up some fresh cuts.
“We want to showcase Geelong as a burgeoning food, lifestyle and entertainment destination, and we’re excited about putting the spotlight firmly on Geelong for this great event.
The B.I.G festival will be a cashless event and partner with Bettercup, a reusable cup company aiming to combat single-use waste from events and venues.
The B.I.G festival will be held on October 26 from noon to 10pm.
