WERE WE TOO CAUTIOUS IN COMBATING THE VIRUS?

-

A COVID-19 campaign of fear and alarm has been successfully waged by both federal and state governments. The amount of misinformation, deceit and downright lies is staggering.

First there were the computer models that predicted 150,000 Australian deaths unless we didn’t quarantine the population but have since been shown to be totally flawed.

The draconian lockdowns which came into force on March 31 could only have had an effect 10 days later (incubation plus testing time) on April 10 but by this time infections had reduced by 75 per cent. The data shows the compulsive lockdowns had zero effect!

Then the unnecessary closing of schools where data showed that children rarely are affected by the virus and rarely transmit the disease.

Then the ban on outdoor activities where the data showed that if social distancing is observed, infections are virtually zero.

The damage from the lockdowns includes increased suicides, domestic violence, child sexual assault, despair and economic ruin.

Australia has had 101 COVID-19 deaths, three of those were under 60, and none were under 40. Virtually all who died were over 70 with underlying health issues. Australia averages about 2000 flu deaths a year, almost all elderly.

The hysteria even extended to banning elective surgery because of an expected avalanche of severe cases which never happened. The Victorian

Government spent an astonishing $1.3 billion to increase the state’s ICU beds from 500 to 4500 and none were ever required and the equipment now sits in warehouses gathering dust.
