TIME MOVES SLOWLY IN GENDER PAY INEQUALITY

-

IN 1902, white Australian women were given right to vote.

That was 118 years ago.

They were considered worthy of a vote back then.

So why is it in 2020 that many women are still struggling to obtain equal pay for their full-time work? Are they not worthy?

In 2019, according to the Australian Government website of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, women on average were paid 13.9 per cent less than men in Australia. This figure is supplied by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

After all this time, is it not time to equalise the gender pay gap?
