Two flee after crash

TWO men are on the run after crashing a stolen car on the Princes Freeway early yesterday.

It is understood two men were travelling in a stolen white hatchback seen speeding near Avalon Rd about 1.30am.

Witnesses said the car was travelling westbound when the driver lost control and struck a barrier.

The 2019 Honda Civic hatchback was stolen from a Highton home on Thursday.

Police said two men ran from the scene.

The police air wing and dog squad joined the search for the men, but were unable to find them.
