JOEL & BRIT SELLING RITZY CITY PAD

- PETER FARAGO

CATS skipper Joel Selwood is selling his ritzy Geelong waterfront pad.

The AFL star and wife Brit recently farewelled their threebedroom apartment in the luxury Edgewater building in a social media post.

The spacious apartment on Eastern Beach Rd is listed with Newtown agent Jodie Bliss with price hopes from $2 million to $2.2 million.

Ms Bliss declined to comment when contacted by the

Advertiser. But the agency is marketing the property as extremely spacious with amazing views toward the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, Cunningham Pier and Corio Bay.

Located at the rear of the high-rise complex, the apartment’s main attraction is the north-facing views across the podium level garden to the water and Western Beach.

The designer kitchen has marble benches, Miele appliances and substantial preparation spaces within an expansive, open-plan living and dining area that is designed for entertainment.

Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open to a balcony on the western side of the 176sq m residence, overlooking the podium garden, which is a communal area for residents.

The main bedroom has a similar balcony on the eastern side of the building, providing a view toward the yacht club marina.

The main bedroom has a lavish ensuite bathroom, while a second bathroom services two more bedrooms.

Among the Selwoods’ neighbours were former Cats president and Geelong businessman Frank Costa.

Geelong’s waterfront is described as the city’s prized possession, with proximity to the

CBD. “Property here along the waterfront is some of the only real estate that enjoys northfacing bay views in Victoria and the view is simply breathtaking,” the agent states.
