This compelling four-part series hosted by actor Aaron Pedersen (Mystery Road) documents the extraordinary struggles faced by some of Australia’s stunning wildlife who live in the wetlands of the Top End, the vast desert spaces of the interior and the dramatic coastline and forests. Tonight’s series premiere begins in Kakadu National Park, where the weather swings between blistering, dry heat and violent flooding storms. It’s here saltwater crocodile reign supreme, but survival is becoming problematic for some of the strongest and most skilled animals on the planet as they’re forced to share shrinking waterways. Meanwhile, frilled-neck lizards in their natural habitat prove to be quite the sight to behold.
