The Atlanta Homicide Unit has one of the highest clearance rates in the US, but it takes a skilled team to identify, catch and prosecute killers. In this new series, viewers meet some of its members and see how they go about solving some of the state’s most baffling crimes. They include respected Detective Nicole Redlinger (pictured), her colleague Detective JD Stephens and prosecutor Leif Howard. In tonight’s premiere, the team investigate the murder of newlywed Demetra Smith, who was shot execution-style in her bed, and had her bloody wedding ring pried off her finger and tossed into a sink. Will justice prevail?
