MEGHAN ON SUICIDE

“I thought it would solve everything for everyone. I didn’t want to be alive any more. That was a constant thought. I said that I needed to go somewhere to get help.

“I said that I’ve never felt this way before and I need to go somewhere. “And I was told that I couldn’t, that it wouldn’t be good for the institution.”

MEGHAN ON MEETING THE QUEEN

“Apparently I did a very deep curtsy. It was lovely and easy”

MEGHAN ON RACISM

“In those months I was pregnant … (there were) concerns and conversations about how dark (Archie’s) skin might be when he’s born”.

“(I was asked) what will the children look like? That conversation, I am never going to share. At the time it was awkward, I was a bit shocked.”

“I couldn’t see a way out. I was trapped and didn’t know I was trapped.

“Like the rest of my family are.

“My father and my brother are trapped.”

HARRY ON CHARLES

“I feel really let down, because he has been through something similar, he knows what pain feels like, and Archie’s his grandson.”

HARRY ON THE BRITISH PRESS

“I am acutely aware how scared my family are that the tabloids will turn on them.”

A SECLUDED Surf Coast camping ground is set to undergo a $750,000 upgrade.

The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority has submitted a planning application to the Surf Coast Shire for the redevelopment of Queens Park campground in Lorne.

Works will involve the refurbishment of an existing toilet block and the construction of a new camp kitchen. The new toilet block is set to improve amenity accessibility, including alterations to allow the inclusion of an all-abilities rest room facility and family bathroom.

The facility will include a combined closed kitchen and open pergola/deck area, allowing multiple users to occupy the space at once.

Queens Park – located 2km south of Lorne’s town centre at Armytage Street – is a hillside situated above the Lorne Pier offering extensive views of Point Grey.

The council is set to make a decision on the application at a later date.
