ACTING PREMIER UNAWARE OF AQUATIC PROJECT FOR NORTH

- Michael

THE people of the northern suburbs get what they vote for. Council-wise they put the same two stooges in who simply rubber stamp whatever Mayor Asher wants (who is clearly using her role to drum up support in the Bellarine for her future tilt at the federal seat of Corangamite), while at the state and federal level they just have a set-and-forget attitude towards putting Labor back in power each time. Sad, but it’s time someone local really had a go at shaking things up out that way.

Maxim

Merlino is a bad actor – waiting for Chairman Dan to return.

Alan

Can the Labor Party show any more contempt for Geelong’s northern suburbs than this? They purport to be the political party for society’s underdogs, but in reality they could not give two hoots. Corio is a safe Labor seat, and unfortunately there are no signs of that changing. It also goes to show how completely ineffectual the local Labor members are.

Rob

As an old Corio boy who went to uni, had a great career and is now retired, I have a simple message for the locals: Stop voting Labor! The 1960s Norlane pool complex that I regularly visited 50 years ago was vastly superior to what you have now. Peter

Why people in the Corio seat vote for Labor is mind-boggling. They do nothing for the seat.

Rick

Stop voting Labor blindly and make it a marginal seat, amazing what will happen then.

Catherine

The north is a VERY SAFE Labor seat, so no funding … that’s what happens. If it were a marginal seat, there would be constant money thrown.
