PLAY MUSEUM IS BACK
CHILDREN can immerse themselves in fun educational activities when the Museum of Play and Art reopens on Saturday.
Museum director Thomas Mahon said the venue was proud to reopen after experiencing “extreme financial hardship” over the past 18 months.
Mr Mahon said the team had used the latest lockdown and restrictions to renovate the outdoor play space to incorporate an outdoor party room and a huge ice-creaminspired water table with raging water rapids for the children to splash around in.
“Every time we have gone into lockdown over this last 18 months, we’ve worked really hard, and it has been hard to apply a positive lens,” Mr Mahon said.
“We’ve asked ourselves how can we turn this into an opportunity.”
The team was awarded the customer service award at the Geelong Business Excellence Awards this week.
Mr Mahon said the venue was excited to welcome families back.
