Club says: “As a club, we’re looking to build on our previous campaign. Playing 18 games last summer was a great opportunity to get some experience into our young squad. With the guys who are coming into the club this season we believe we can challenge the top sides.”
Team to beat: “North Geelong has strong representation through its whole team and depth in its lower grades. In what will be a very even competition, we still think North Geelong is the side to chase down again.” — coach Andrew Hodgson
The Joeys will be spoiled for choice in the bowling department with the acquisition of Smith and Bailey complementing last year’s contingent of Austin and Angus Humphrey, Scott Condy, Billy Hyde and Jack Mullen. However, it will be improved consistency with the bat that holds the key to St Joseph’s success. A member of Cricket Victoria’s Under-17 Emerging Players Program, Campbell Snookes’s development will be further enhanced by coming under the tutelage of coach Andrew Hodgson.
