Tough, inside midfielder that does a lot of the grunt work for the Cats. Averaged his most disposals per game last year and at 23 years of age, should improve on that in 2022.

Fell slightly out of favour last year, named as a medical sub in two of Geelong’s three finals. Higgins’ skill set and use of the ball is still a threat if he can get back near his best.

There’s not much else Selwood can achieve in footy, but becoming a premiership captain is certainly something he would want to tick off the list.
With a healthy and experienced list, the possibility is there.

An athletic, run and jump forward that attacks the ball well in the air.
A lot of competition for spots this year in the forward line and ruck meaning some added pressure for Ratugolea.

A lively small forward that showed glimpses in his time at Richmond and Adelaide.
Finished runner-up in the SANFL goalkicking tally last season with 44 goals from 19 games. Kicked three goals in the Eagles grand final win over Glenelg.
19 QUINTON NARKLE

Played the most games he ever has in a season last year but fell out of favour late in the year. His career trajectory to date points to another step up this year, could become a valuable asset week-to-week.

Has shown some good signs at training and has a body ready-made for the AFL.

One of Geelong’s most consistent performers and a great user of the ball.
Endured an injury interrupted 2021 season, so if he can stay healthy, will be a huge asset for the Cats.

Averaged 1.52 goals per game in 21 outings last year, the most he has played in a season in his career so far.
With so much firepower up forward, lots of pressure and a goal a game from Rohan would be golden for the Cats and could help them get over the hump.
