POLITICS A JOB THAT REWARDS INCOMPETENCE

-

I HAVE been voting for over 50 years now and I shake my head in disbelief every time an election looms.

Firstly, the promises. Why must an election be the time that we get major commitments and promises? Any genuine politician would be advocating these sorts of policies as part of their everyday role. Isn’t that their job?

Secondly, read the fine print on these promises – many in the past have never even been implemented, and some of those that have take years to come to fruition. If a policy puts money in your pocket, check how long it will be before it actually happens.

The clowns that purportedly govern this country (regardless of political alliance) have a lot to answer for.

How many jobs are out there that reward or readily tolerate incompetence and demand no accountability?
