MORRISON’S MEMORY NEEDS SOME PROMPTING
SCOTT Morrison claims his government has led Australia through very rough times over the past three years.
Obviously, he has quite forgotten, or prefers to forget, that it was the state premiers, the medical officers, the health professionals, the community leaders and the scientists who led the way through the worst of the pandemic. Again, it was state premiers, emergency workers, fire fighters, the SES and brave community members who led the way through the catastrophic fires and floods.
Mr Morrison can of course claim leadership of the disastrously slow and ineffective vaccine and RAT rollouts, delayed financial assistance to flood victims, the premature cancellation of
JobKeeper and JobSeeker, allowing businesses that made a profit during the pandemic to keep JobKeeper funds and the political attacks on some state premiers who had to make the difficult and sometimes unpopular decisions for the common good.
