Woman killed in crash

DETECTIVES from the major collision investigat­ion unit are investigat­ing after a woman in her 60s died at the scene of a Bellbrae collision on Wednesday.

“Investigat­ors have been told a truck and two cars collided at the intersecti­on of Moores Rd and Anglesea Rd about 5.30pm,” police said.

“A woman travelling in one of the cars, believed in her 60s, died at the scene.”

The driver of the car, also a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital in a critical condition, police said.

According to police, the driver of the other car involved, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital.

He sustained non-lifethreat­ening injuries.

Police said the driver of the truck was assisting them with inquiries.
