Collision victim identified
THE victim of a fatal collision was identified as a Bellbrae woman on Thursday.
Police were told a truck and two cars collided at the corner of Moores and Anglesea roads about 5.30pm on Wednesday.
The 65-year-old Bellbrae woman died at the scene, a police spokeswoman said.
“The driver of that car, a 63year-old Bellbrae woman, was taken to hospital in a critical condition,” the spokeswoman said.
“The driver of the other car involved, a 49-year-old Bellbrae man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.”
A 45-year-old Thornhill Park man, who was driving the truck, received minor injuries, the spokeswoman said.
She said he was assisting police with their inquiries.
Detectives from the major collision investigation unit are continuing to investigate the collision.
Police have urged anyone who witnessed the crash, has dashcam footage or any other information that could assist with the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers.
