CANDIDATE UNREADY FOR HIGHER OFFICE

AS an Ocean Grove resident with a passion for a brighter future for Australia, I recently attended the federal election community forum in Ocean Grove to hear from candidates standing for the seat of Corangamite.

To put it bluntly, I was shocked by Liberal candidate Stephanie Asher’s unpreparedness to answer questions.

After being exposed as not being across her party’s plans to tackle climate change or the aged-care crisis, Ms Asher shirked a question relating to Australia’s defence asked by an elderly gentleman and said she was not there to defend government policy as she was only a candidate.

To add further insult to the people of Corangamite, Stephanie Asher has since withdrawn from any other community forums prior to the election.
