SKIPPER, STANLEY RETURN

-

GEELONG is set to regain the services of captain Joel Selwood for Saturday’s top-eight clash with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.

Selwood (pictured) returns to the Cats line-up after missing the win over the Giants with a thigh injury, with last week’s debutant Cooper Stephens to make way for the skipper along with forward Francis Evans, who was also omitted.

Rhys Stanley is also back to bolster Geelong’s ruck stocks in the face of a tough assignment against Saints big men Rowan Marshall and Paddy Ryder.

Midfielder Mitch Knevitt, who made his debut as the sub against the Giants last week, will play his first full game after defender Jed Bews was confirmed to miss after entering concussion protocols.

Knevitt had 15 disposals, seven marks and two tackles after replacing Bews in the second quarter last week.

The Saints have regained Jack Billings and Cooper Sharman, with Dan Butler, Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and Marcus Windhager going out of the side.
