A LONG-celebrated outdoor concert will return to the Golden Plains region for the first time since the pandemic when the 30th edition of Meredith Music Festival takes place late this year.

Organisers announced on Friday that the festival would rock the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre from December 9-11.

It will be the first time the festival has gone ahead since 2019, with both the 2020 and 2021 editions cancelled amid the Covid pandemic.

Before that break, the festival had been held annually since its inception in 1991.

At the 2019 festival, drug and booze buses were set up along major roads near the event as part of a police crackdown on drug use.

Previous Meredith Music Festival events hosted major local and international acts for the multi-day music showcase.

The organisers have sent out an email address to encourage festival-goers to sign up for further updates.
