A THREE-MONTH investigation into alleged illegal sex work, escort services and a drug trafficking operation in Melbourne has resulted in two men being charged.

Detectives searched three properties across the city on Thursday and two men were arrested and charged.

A 33-year-old Moonee Ponds man has been charged and was remanded to appear before the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

A 38-year-old Melbourne man has been charged with possess methylamphetamines, bail offences, and possessing an imitation firearm.

He was bailed to appear in court next Tuesday.
