TRAIL THE SAFEST WAY TO DO MY SHOPPING
I WELCOME the article “Bike paths break cycle of danger” (GA, 9/5) with one reservation.
The mention of me cycling to Woolies on Anakie Rd, Norlane, could lead readers to think I cycle along Anakie Rd when, in fact, I use the shared pedestrian and cyclist Ted Wilson Trail and the Cowie Creek Path.

TWO things that puzzle me. Why do we need speed humps when the roads are already bumpy enough and full of pot holes? Also why are there covers on our water meters when meter readers don’t put them down again after reading? No wonder there are so many covers broken off.

A BIG thanks to the Victorian government on its use of taxpayers’ money on the Melbourne road. Two months and still going to throw 1m of stones down on the side of a road. Just hope you’ve thought to fix the drainage while doing such a big, fantastic job.

WELL done, Cats! Tom Stewart and Mark Blicavs carried the side again. Special mention to the young recruits introduced. Surely the message has been received that it is time to get rid of some of the has-beens. Desperately need a genuine ruckman and someone to cut up the oranges at three-quarter-time, as Tom Stewart can’t do everything.

WHOEVER picked the best players for the Cats game at the weekend has no idea at all. The Cats’ best player by a long way was Mark Blicavs, yet he didn’t make the best players’ list. Somehow they’ve put Guthrie and O’Connor in the best players. Not sure what game they were watching. Confused, Corio
