1926 ERIC MORECAMBE English comedian

Morecambe formed the comedy duo Morecambe and Wise with Ernie Wise. At the height of their popularity, a Christmas edition of Morecambe and Wise attracted 28 million viewers in Britain. The partnershi­p lasted from 1941 until Morecambe’s death in 1984.

1952 DAVID BYRNE Scottish musician

Byrne was a founding member and the principal songwriter, lead singer and guitarist for the American new wave band Talking Heads. He shared the 1988 Best Music (Original Score) Academy Award for the film The Last Emperor.
