When Lucinda Trickey and Matt Russ realised Covid was here to stay they decided to downsize their wedding after two postponements. The pair had a small and intimate ceremony at A Spot for Joe followed by a black tie sit-down dinner at Alma with 48 guests. Lucinda and Matt decided to make their own hanging arbour for the ceremony and spent many hours on YouTube and cutting branches from trees in their own backyard. “The end product was worth it and looked awesome hanging from an exposed brick wall,” Lucinda, who caught an Uber to the wedding, says. Her advice to others is to not be afraid to go small and a band is always worth it.
