MILLER FALLS JUST SHORT

-

AUSSIE MotoGP star Jack Miller secured a hard-fought second place in the French GP at Le Mans, celebrating with a shoey from the boot of winner Enea Bastianni.

The Gresini Ducati rider won his third race of the year with another eye-catching performance.

Miller jumped six places to fifth in the world championship and has passed teammate Pecco Bagnaia on the ladder, despite the Australian’s future with the factory Ducati team in doubt.

Bastianni’s form has him positioned to join fellow Italian Bagnaia for the factory ride, with rumours Miller could sign with KTM.

Miller acknowledged his plight as much after the race.

“I mean, put two and two together, he’s (Bastianni) won three races this year and he’s doing a fantastic job, he’s Italian so it makes perfect sense,” he said.
