Hawks brought back to earth

-

UNDEFEATED for 986 days, Inverleigh was taught a lesson in work rate by East Geelong on Saturday, snapping a 17-game winning streak.

But coach Adam Donohue was calm after the eight-point defeat, which saw his side waste multiple shots at goal in the final term.

“It was just telling (the players) ‘it is OK to lose’,” Donohue (pictured) said of his post-match address.

“You can’t win every game. It wasn’t as if we played bad, we thought we should have won the game.”
