TIGERS STAR OUT
COLAC star Darcy Lang will miss his side’s clash with Geelong West on Saturday after he failed in a bid to have his penalty for striking downgraded at the AFL Barwon tribunal.
The Tigers midfielder and co-coach pleaded guilty on Tuesday night to the charge of intentionally striking St Albans’ Brock McDonald but had sought to have the one-match ban overturned.
Meanwhile, Anakie’s Jordan Baumgartner initially requested to challenge his two-match suspension for rough conduct but ultimately accepted it before the hearing.
