Police in drug swoop

POLICE have dismantled two alleged crop houses and seized multiple cannabis plants after raids in Teesdale.

Victoria Police spokeswoma­n Sergeant Megan Stefanec said officers arrested two men after executing search warrants at Native Hut Drive and Fairview Cres on May 11.

“Police located a number of cannabis plants at both residences and a hydroponic facility in each,” she said.

“Two men, aged 37 and 42, from Teesdale were arrested at the scenes without incident.”

Both men were charged with cultivatin­g cannabis and possessing cannabis.

They have been bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrate­s Court in September.
