SCRATCH CATS WHO DON’T BRING PRESSURE

-

THE shock loss by Geelong to St Kilda was hard to watch.

What went wrong when the Cats got off to a flyer?

A quick look at the stats department shows that our mids and forwards are playing bruisefree football.

Under current coach Chris Scott, if you are one of his favourites, then it’s just a matter of turning up each week.

Between Dangerfield, Guthrie, Parfitt and Selwood, there were around 12 tackles, and five of them belonged to Selwood.

Three for Danger, just the one for Parfitt and Duncan as well for that matter. Then our forward will-o’-the-wisps in Miers and Close had duck eggs. Is there any wonder the team isn’t winning?

Time to make these blokes earn a spot for a change.

After all, they are being paid plenty for little effort, according to what the stats say?
