ASHER STANDS TALL IN HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT

REGARDING the letter to the editor by Shaun Reardon, of Ocean Grove (GA, 13/5), is that the same Shaun Reardon from the CFMEU and once John Setka’s right-hand man?

Is he suggesting Stephanie Asher should be this country’s next Defence Minister if elected or does he think all ministers should be all over every portfolio in government? Mr Reardon’s presence at that Ocean Grove forum clearly shows it was a stacked deck against Ms Asher.

I’ve seen Ms Asher preside over unruly meetings in council and can tell you she is a strong, intelligent woman who can mix it with the best of them when the correct rules of engagement are followed.

Sounds like the Ocean Grove forum had none of those rules.
