Disability parking permit process odd

RE the letter in the Geelong Advertiser (16/5) about renewing disability parking permits. My husband is also going through the process with the City of Greater Geelong to renew his disability parking permit.

He cannot use a computer, so it was left up to me to answer all the questions and make sure he gets an appointment to see our doctors (as it was non-urgent we have to wait a week for appointment).

I am asking the same question – why this odd process? Does CoGG not realise that on almost every occasion the disability doesn’t disappear?
