Pup on over and take a swig of Poppy’s pale ale
YOU can have a frothy with Poppy (on the label) as Melbourne’s Moon Dog brewery launches its new line of animal-inspired canned ale.
Moon Dog put a call out to all dog and cat owners to send in photos of their beloved rescue animal – with Poppy, 7, and seven other cats and dogs chosen as the faces of the new brew. They appear on the Rescue All-Stars Juicy Pale Ale cans, as a tribute to all rescue animals in Australia.
To help launch the Rescue All-Stars beer collection, owners are being urged to bring their dogs to Moon Dog’s original Abbotsford brewery on Sunday afternoon to celebrate.
Moon Dog collaborated with Second Chance Animal Rescue to create the Juicy Pale Ale, and claims the beer has just as much character as the loveable pair featured on the cans.
“Local partnerships with like-minded, animal-loving companies just like Moon Dog are exactly what we’re looking for here at Second Chance Animal Rescue. We rely on support like this to continue our lifesaving work,” SCAR’s CEO Marisa Debattista said.
