VR TO BRING JOY
THE integration of virtual reality into aged care has the power to transform the day-to-day lives of residents, according to researchers.
A QUT-led, Facebook-funded project has created a how-to guide on how to make it happen and bring some joy to the elderly.
“VR can take them back to their honeymoon, let them reconnect to something important from their past or travel to a country they always wanted to visit. The possibilities are limitless and overcome mobility and health problems,” Professor Evonne Miller said.
