Child sex charges
A 40-year-old man appeared before Geraldton Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with multiple child sex offences.
The man was charged with one count of supplying juveniles with alcohol, two counts of using an electronic communication to procure a child under 16 to engage in a sex act, six of counts of indecently dealing with a child aged over 13 but under 16, two counts of sexually penetrating a child aged over 13 but under 16, and one count of possessing child exploitation material. He was not required to plead.
Magistrate Donna Webb said the charges were very serious and the offender needed to comply with his bail conditions “to the letter”.
The man will appear in court again at a later date.
