What’s your favourite thing about Instagram?
It has allowed me to share my modelling journey with so many people from around the world. I love how positive the comments on my page are and I take the time to read them all.
What’s your biggest achievement on Instagram?
Having lots of followers has certainly helped me. I’ve had interviews on the Today show on Channel 9, been awarded 45th place in the top 100 faces of the world by TC Candler and various interviews for magazines and newspaper, however I love the DMs and comments I get from other girls telling me that they look up to me and that somehow I inspire them to do well. That, above all else, is what I think is my biggest achievement is.
What is the best way to get more followers?
Be yourself and have fun. Interact with your followers through ‘lives’ or little catchphrases, attached to the photo you post, that invite comments.
What is one thing you should never post on IG?
Never post anything that you feel uncomfortable with. Instagram is about sharing and having fun and it’s not something that you should feel pressure about being anything but yourself.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learnt?
Don’t respond to the trolls or negative comments. At the end of the day, there will always be a small percentage of online trolls who are trying to get attention. It’s important not to get worked up on any of that and to understand that, unfortunately, it is a sad reality of social media that trolls do exist.
What message would you most like your followers to take from your account?
That I’m a nice person first and foremost. ‘Lives’ are great for showing people that I’m a down-to-earth girl that is just like everybody else. I love music, sport, having fun with friends and family. Going live gives me the opportunity to show that other side of my life. I also hope that they see a girl who is extremely determined to do the very best that she can do within the modelling industry.
How does it feel to be chosen as one of our 20 under 20 inuencers?
It’s the first time I’ve been labelled an influencer and I’m really happy to be recognised to have a successful page and I am truly grateful to all of my followers that have chosen to come along on my journey.
How does it feel to be on the cover of Girlfriend Magazine?
I have always loved Girlfriend so to be on a cover is a real honour and I had such a great time shooting with the team.
