Whether you want a taste of the first major of the season or a full-helping, Fanatics has you covered for your once-in-a-lifetime trip to Augusta National. The company is a fully registered travel agent and is able to guarantee entry to the tournament at the best possible price.
A large range of packages are available and start at US$4,490 for three nights, which include accommodation, official merchandise, beer, wine and snacks each evening, a tour guide, and Masters badges to either the par-3 contest and opening round or the weekend’s competition.
And, if you feel like hitting the links yourself, extended Golfers Tours are also available. You’ll begin in Los Angeles before traveling to San Diego, where you’ll play the world-renowned Torrey Pines and Aviara golf courses. After arriving in Augusta, you’ll be able to choose from the range of Masters packages on offer, as well as enjoy rounds at Forest Hills and Woodside Plantation. Trendsetter Travel has recently released its 15-day May 2018 Monaco to Venice itinerary, which includes games at two of Sicily’s top-five courses – Verdura Resort’s East Course and Il Picciolo Golf Club.
Opened in 2009, Verdura East was designed by Kyle Phillips (of Kingsbarns’ fame) and lies alongside the West course, a composite course recently hosted the European Tour. While the ship is berthed at Taormina for 14 hours, golf will also be played at Il Picciolo.
The 15-night cruise is on Silver Whisper, the 382 passenger luxury inclusive ship, one of the nine luxury vessels of the Silversea cruise line. Appreciating that participants on its golf cruises have differing expectations of the optimal amount of golf to play and which ports to golf at, Trendsetter Travel allows each participant to choose between a minimum of six games and a maximum of nine games.
Choosing less than the maximum of nine games will not be an easy decision with so many great courses included in the itinerary. For example, in Corsica and Sardinia, the tour plays two Robert Trent Jones designed layouts – Golf de Sperone and Pevero Golf Club – both of which occupy cliff-top settings.
Apart from the great golf itinerary, a feature of the cruise is the particularly long days ashore, which in most ports allow an opportunity to explore the towns while still including a game of golf.
As for all Trendsetter’s luxury golf cruises, golf is competitively priced at less than 40 percent of the price per round charged by the leading USA golf cruise operators and the price of a cabin on board Silver Whisper is subject to a 10 percent discount for early pre-payments.
