IT’S TIME TO BE GOLF READY

-

WHEN was the last time you were able to swing pain free? How often do you get home from golf and find all manner of aches and pains developing?

Both questions are pertinent to most golfers as they get older and those players who may not look after their bodies as best they can to prevent a wide range of golf-related injuries.

A loss of efficiency of body movements accounts for the loss of power in the golf swing. This also results in a loss of consistency and is a predictor for injury. Whilst generic programs may help, a tailored program taking into account the function of your body will get the best results.

Golf Ready is a program devised by Dr Andrew McHardy PhD, which aims to assist golfers to swing pain free and, perhaps, improve their swing.

“Golf Ready clients have looked at conditioning programs, but are unaware of where to start or whether they are doing the right things,” said McHardy, a golfer of 30 years who is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified – Level 2 Medical professional.

“In my 16 years of clinical experience I have seen hundreds of golfers. In fact, I have helped both professional and amateur golfers and treated them all for various injuries. From the lower back, to the shoulders, down to the knees. The entire body really.

“After creating this program and having them go through it in order to get them swinging pain free, we also found that they were hitting the ball further. And with greater consistency.”

Golf Ready offers a comprehensive functional movement and golf swing assessment with a detailed report that identifies what exactly is required for each individual golfer. While McHardy is based in Sydney, Golf Ready services are available Australia-wide. For more information, contact Dr McHardy PhD on 0417480607 or visit the website www.golfready.com.au
