Golf Australia

LETTER OF THE MONTH

- David Pearson Echuca, Victoria

CARE FOR YOUR COURSE Peter Booth was spot on in the August issue when he suggested all golfers should play ‘ready golf’.

However, my suggestion to help all golfers and the ground staff concerns course care. If you see a bunker not raked or if the rake is not in the middle of the bunker in the direction of play, fix it.

There is nothing worse than your ball rolling into a bunker and the rake stopping it from rolling to the bottom of the bunker. Instead it stops near the edge, which makes for a far more difficult shot. Bunkers are hard enough to get out of.
