HOW TO KEEP IT IN PLAY OFF THE TEE

-

SELECT YOUR TEE POSITION TO SUIT YOUR SHOT SHAPE

Don’t just tee up in the middle of the markers. Use the space to your advantage. If you are a natural fader, tee up on the right side of the tee box and aim at the left side of the fairway. This will give you the entire width of the fairway as margin for error. Reverse this philosophy if your natural shot shape is right-to-left.

CHANGE YOUR TEE HEIGHT TO CREATE DIFFERENT SHAPE DRIVES

If you slice the ball excessively, try teeing the ball a little higher at address. The increase in height will automatically encourage you to make a shallower swing and to hit the ball with an in-to-out path. Likewise, if you suffer with a hook, teeing the ball a little lower will cause you to instinctively hit down on the ball more steeply and negate the draw spin.
