If you watch most golfers pitch­ing, you’d think the tech­nique was a very ‘wristy’ aair. In fact, noth­ing could be fur­ther from the truth. There are many ways of con­trol­ling the dis­tance you hit a pitch. You can choke down on the grip, take a dier­ent loft, or sim­ply vary the length of your swing. But for me the safest and most con­sis­tent method is to sim­ply vary the pace of your swing. In eect, you’re look­ing to link the head of the golf club with the turn­ing mo­tion of your body.
